Civil Project Coordinator

Job Description/Duties:

This is a position in the Delivery Project and Construction – Inside Plant Construction Group.

  • Perform civil engineering and/or support of inside plant construction project work and provide technical assistance through the application of engineering/business knowledge.
  • Develop cost estimating and feasibility studies for a portfolio of projects.  
  • Review design plans/drawings for constructability and develop necessary construction plans and schedules. 
  • Assemble construction bid packages, evaluate bids and create/maintain contractor performance evaluation data base.
  • Provide technical support to Construction Specialists and Commissioning Engineers. 
  • Manage the timely processing of field generated in-service and closeout reports. 
  • Ensure contractor compliance with respect to proper invoicing and processing for payment in accordance with Company Policy. 
  • Assist with overall project portfolio management/scheduling and outage planning. 
  • Interface with Project Managers to ensure completion of inside plant facilities on-time and on-budget.
  • Maintain and apply working knowledge of the client's Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • Exhibit knowledge of computer based engineering and business applications. 
  • Must possess demonstrated leadership skills, professionalism and customer/client focus. 
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. 


  • Experienced in electric utility inside plant design, engineering, construction or maintenance.
  • PE license or advanced technical training.
