This position is a contractor position in a large NJ based Utility. Primary responsibilities will include; support the Energy Efficiency group in the implementation of residential programs. This position requires advanced knowledge of energy savings techniques and energy using systems for residential customers. The ideal candidate needs to be knowledgeable of residential energy savings measures, knowledgeable of new and current technologies and trends. Project management and technical aptitude and analytical skills are important to support the diverse needs of the Energy Efficiency Team.
Demonstrated experience in performing and or managing residential energy audits and installation of energy savings measures. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused. Perform random onsite observations and mentoring of vendors work and prepare written reports on findings.
This position will also include managing and reporting of financial, budgetary and other performance goals related to the work completed.

The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Energy Efficiency Team. The candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the work that supports the Residential programs. This includes performing site visits while contractors are installing energy saving measures. The measures include, but are not limited to, blower door test and analysis, installation of energy savings measures such as insulation, programmable thermostats and installation of compact fluorescent lamps. These visits are to ensure proper work practices are being followed according to program guidelines. This will also include coaching and guiding contractors regarding proper techniques of installing energy savings measures in a home.
