Duration: 2 years
Location: Newark, NJ w/ some travel to Bridgeport, CT for the 1st year; CT majority of 2nd year.
Develop and implement standard cost control and reporting to ensure construction project is performed in accordance with approved budgets and schedules. Responsible for development of the overall status reporting on the financial aspects and the schedules associated with the project. Support each project’s management team to provide an-effective cost and schedule monitoring program. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management’s expectations for effective internal business controls.
The associate in this position will possess skills and expertise in the following areas: reporting, cost forecasting, contract management (requisition & invoice approval) and SAP experience. Budget development; Cost accounting, Variance analysis; Project Change Requests; Change Management; Contingency planning Candidate must possess the following education, experience, technical skills and behaviors: BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business discipline or equivalent experience; 7-10 years’ experience in power generation or industrial business environment; 5 years’ experience managing moderate projects; SAP(Project Systems); Report preparation Business and technical writing; Self-directed, high energy; Supports a teamwork and cooperation atmosphere; Recognizes and appreciates contributions of other; Takes personal accountability for actions and results; Strives for personal and departmental continuous improvement; Focuses on measurement of results; Demonstrates Good Power Behaviors
