Project Controls Specialist

The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for monitoring project cost commitments and expenditures and is the point of contact with the vendors and Project Management. The Project Controls Specialist supports reporting project status, monitor and report out on project expenditures and facilitate issue resolution. 

Must Have Skills: 
Microsoft Office products including extensive Excel spreadsheet; self-starter; excellent communication skills, both written and oral.  

Main Roles/Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain timely and accurate cost detail and summarization to Project Manager and participants.
  • Provide reconciliation and deviation reports.
  • Develop Project Contingency Request/Authorization.
  • Ensure timely review and processing of invoices.
  • Supports client’s annual documentation process for DOE claim.
  • Develop adherence/reporting metrics.
  • Provide accurate accrual accounting. 
  • Ensure Capital Asset Accounting requirements are met for timely in-servicing of facilities and equipment.
