Safety Coordinator

Job Description:

Safety Coordinators are responsible for the safety of all personnel working under their direction. This is accomplished by electronically accepting the C/O, verifying a safe zone of protection, and closely supervising/monitoring work activities under their responsibility. Safety Coordinators are responsible to ensure all personnel working under their direction understand the Clearance and Tagging Process requirements and are aware of their blocking points, as well as, any special conditions and potential energy injection points.


Position Requirements:

  • Position will have responsibility to provide safety support and oversight of utility installation by contractors.

Some Duties Include:

  • Ensure vendor and company safety policies are being adhered to.
  • Perform damage investigation and document findings.
  • Perform and document safety inspections.
  • Input safety data into computer/tablet based portal.
  • Route daily audits in logical manner.
  • Interact with client representatives.
  • Use lap top computer/tablet to receive, document and email.
  • Provide on-site remediation when necessary.
  • Ability to recognize and stop unsafe actions.
