Job Description:

The Strategic Planning Business Analyst provides critical planning, collaboration and innovative thinking to the Cloud and Infrastructure (C&I) Engineering organization.  Areas of responsibility include strategic planning across all engineering teams, capacity management, promoting awareness of technology offerings to leadership and end users as well as merger and acquisition (M&A) efforts.  Travel may occasionally be required.


Primary Duties:

  • Contribute to developing strategic objectives & supporting short and long term plans (as it relates to Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering). Collaborate with Engineering and Platform Strategy and Design teams to drive alignment and develop cohesive strategic plans
  • Participate in Capacity Planning to identify trends, predict future needs, perform scenario modeling to ensure C&I is both utilizing assets and resources effectively and is prepared for future growth while adhering to our strategic plan
  • Develop and drive best practices for merger and acquisition efforts including due diligence, analysis, integration  and Day 1 activities
  • Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model
  • Facilitate collaboration and coordination across functional areas within C&I as well as other BU IT areas
  • Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to see the big picture and think strategically
  • Strong collaboration skills: the ability to work effectively with others on a common task; taking actions which respect the needs and contributions of others; contributing to and accepting the consensus; negotiating a win-win solution to achieve the objectives of the team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening (active), presentation skills, report preparation and summarizing with regard to management information.
  • Ability to  develop high-impact presentations and communication tools to communicate strategic plans and visions across the organization
  • Experience in developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders and executives
  • Strong problem solving and analysis ability.
  • Knowledge of Client's IT environment, including daily operations, major roles, business impact, and the impact of hardware and software transitions on the environment
  • Experience working in a fast paced, cross-functional environment
  • Technical enough to have credibility with IT, but able to explain things non-technically, and understand client business
  • Demonstrate attentiveness to details.


Position scope:

  • Applies technical expertise to plan, design, build or support required products and processes
  • Expected to work under minimal supervision.
