Senior Analyst (Reporting & Analytics)

W2 Contract (1 year)

Our client is seeking an Analyst / Senior Analyst to join our Operations team. The position will be responsible for implementation and maintenance of cost effective reporting solutions for CRM, Billing, Pricing and related systems. The role also includes automating manual processes, complex issue resolutions, coordinating information requests from multiple departments, and creation & maintenance of reporting tools.

Additionally, work with external parties such as ISOs, Utilities and third party vendors as needed. Analyst / Senior Analyst position reports to Supervisor/Manager – Third Party Payments.


  • Create and maintain tools related to performance metrics and operational control reports covering day-to-day functions to ensure work performed by team members is high quality, timely and in compliance with operational and key financial controls (Sarbanes-Oxley). These reports include but are not limited to: monthly risk metric reports, daily control reports, CRM Service Request and Activity reports, and other ad hoc reports. Build databases & applications using MS Access, Visual Basic, VBA, SQL, Oracle, SQL Server & Java to automate manual processes and improve Operational efficiency.
  • Exercise independent judgment to investigate and resolve issues related to on and off system reporting tools and processes.  Compare and evaluate alternative courses of action, select & execute appropriate course of action to fully resolve issues.  Significant issues frequently include, but are not limited to: Annual PLC value changes, change in regulatory requirements impacting account attributes, historical & monthly usage, system issues related to EDI & web scraper transactions, and data synchronization.
  • Maintain a library of data attributes tables for use with user acceptance & regression testing required for system enhancements & bug fixes. Work with Business Execution and Information Technology teams to implement projects, system enhancements, and bug fixes on schedule. 
  • Provide training to team members about how to perform their duties efficiently. Champion teamwork and success across the functional organization at the staff level.
  • Professionally represent Constellation in handling and resolving customer issues related to different Operational transactions. This includes internal customers as well as external customers and stakeholders, including but not limited to Utilities, third party EDI vendors and Information Technology (IT) production support team.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cross functional teams and projects across the organization.  Develop matrix reports for process control and manage operational process flows.  Ensure data governance policies and procedures comply with internal/external regulations. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and aptitude for quick learning by cross training across multiple retail power markets and CRM/Billing/Pricing/EDI transaction application systems.
