Job Title: HR Specialist/ Recruiter

Location:  Grand Gulf Station, Port Gibson, MS 

Duration: 12-24 months (W2)

Job Duties: 
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position: 

  • Ability to confidentially manage sensitive records of the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision as well as with a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple and time sensitive projects.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HRIS applications and COGNOS. 
  • Proficient in HRIS applications including reporting and data entry.
  • Knowledge of company policies, practices and procedures. 
  • Experience posting jobs, scheduling interviews (including making travel arrangements) and conducting interviews with candidates and hiring managers, coordinating/scheduling test sessions with applicants, making hiring recommendations (including salary), onboarding with site access dept, etc. 
  • Needs to have very strong Excel skills and attention to detail! 
  • Trains resources for job fairs, university visits, military recruitment and other resources talent pool venues.
  • Evaluates talent pipelines and adjusts plans as needed. Builds and executes a vision for college relations as well as technical recruiting. 
  • Represents client to vendors, schools and other external sources in conducting recruiting activities. 
  • Prioritizes work, effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously, takes initiative, possesses sound reasoning and problem solving skills, functions as a team member as well as works independently. 
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of staff positions and establish strategic partnerships with managers and department leaders to understand position needs and effectively design company wide recruitment strategies. 
  • Beyond the general HR recruiting skills described above, understanding of, or experience with, strategic workforce planning and the analytics associated with workforce planning is a significant part of this role. Using MS Office or other tools to analyze current and future workforce needs will define a successful
