Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Jackson, MS
Duration: 12-24 months (W2)
This is a business and data analysis role with primary responsibilities for turning data into stories that provide information necessary to drive business action.
This role is highly visible to corporate leadership as it is part of a large initiative to revitalize the nuclear business area at client.
The role is fast-paced with often competing demands that will require extraordinary organization, fast decision-making, and proper behavioral acumen under sometimes stressful situations.
This is not an entry level position – the successful candidate will have experience in dealing with senior level executives and the nature of information requests that start at a summary level and proceed into deeper analysis.
To perform these duties, the Business Analyst must possess a strong analytical proficiency and the ability to prepare accurate data and data stories for use in the hiring and onboarding of over 1000 people in approximately two years.
Advanced skills in MS PowerPoint along with highly proficient skills in MS Excel will be necessary.
Past experience with HR systems housing talent management data along with general employee demographics will be helpful.
Prepare, analyze and provide support to hiring and onboarding employees by compiling accurate and timely employee reports.
Analyze data to assess process trouble areas and build the stories necessary to inform leadership of challenges
Develop presentations around the data that informs stakeholders of status and progress against goals, while identifying trouble spots that need attention
Qualifications: Minimum Educational Background, Professional Experience, and Physical Requirements Required in Performing Job:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline
Relevant work experience in business analysis, process definition and documentation, data preparation
Some familiarity with HR data and HR systems – desirable
Excellent communication and project leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments
Flexible attitude and patience under pressure required
