Serve as Chemist for Clients Nuclear Station. Review and trend primary chemistry data, including analysis and reporting of extracted information, and make recommendations to the Station Chemistry management based on data analysis. Anticipate transient chemistry conditions by providing projections when major plant conditions change or are anticipated to change. Responsible for chemistry strategic plan development and action items. Optimize chemistry controls. Monitor Chemistry and prepare Quarterly Trending Reports. Maintain the Primary Chemistry portions of the UFSARs. Provide mentoring to station personnel in the implementation of the primary chemistry programs. Supports refuel outage planning and implementation of primary system shutdown in accordance with EPRI guidelines and industry best practices. Perform engineering evaluations and design change development to ensure optimum primary chemistry performance. Perform self-assessments, including Peer or Management observations, and corrective actions to improve the primary chemistry performance. Represent PSEG in industry guideline development and revisions. Lead site involvement with industry peers, Owners Groups, EPRI and INPO. Perform 50.59 and SQR reviews.
REQUIRED: Chemistry Degree or related Science. 3 to 5 years general Chemistry exp, in Nuclear field. Must meet the minimum qualification requirements of ANSI N3.1-1981. Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted site access. Maintain and apply working knowledge of Client Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls.
