Instructor, Mechanical Maintenance Sr Staff Nuclear

Primary Location: New York-Buchanan

W2 Contract Duration: 4-6 months

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the coordination of all Maintenance accredited training activities/programs to improve line and station performance and meet regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: develop training materials and conduct training; monitor TSD and accreditation renewal; manager training intranet and VISION database; assist line management in oversight of OJT/TPE activities for qualifications; perform self-assessments and observations to identify strengths and weaknesses needing corrective action.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administers training programs to ensure the availability of qualified and licensed personnel. 
  • Interfaces with line personnel to analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions. 
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using the systematic approach to training. 
  • Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-10 years’ experience in Maintenance and/or training at a nuclear power plant required. Must have experience in mechanical maintenance components.
  • At least five years experience in the associated line organization. 
  • Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
