Global Procurement Analyst

 

Duration: 8 Month (W2 Contract)

The position will support the clients’s Global Procurement organization and will work in coordination with the Global Planning Team. Support and coordinate the maintenance of Global Procurement business planning and related deliverables. Drive development and management of annual work plans across the Global Procurement organization, manage resource allocation to ensure proper resourcing in support of National Grid’s business and operational priorities, ensure procurement services are delivered effectively and efficiently to expected service levels. Deliver reporting to client's leadership on financial benefits of Global Procurement services and achievement against plan. 

The right candidate will have strong analytical and program management skills and have the ability to prioritize and balance multiple assignments simultaneously. A high degree of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, database tools, and financial analysis is required. Procurement background is desirable. 


Position Responsibilities 

Data Analysis: 
• Analyze complex data sets and provide meaningful summaries to drive strategic decisions 
• Extract and analyze internal systems data to support performance reporting and monitoring 
• Perform deep dive analysis of data for root cause analysis and problem resolution. 
• Evaluate and summarize data into quantifiable measurements/KPIs with corresponding trending and reporting 
Financial Management: 
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to capture and report on delivery of Procurement value 
• Develop and monitor performance metrics and track against targets 
Program Management: 
• Prepare detailed plans to track workplan performance and assure timely completion and achievement of program deliverables 
• Lead projects to drive value and support delivery of documented results 
• Develop and deliver communication and change management updates for broad audience 
• Identify and manage risks and issues that impact program progress 
Skills 
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment 
• Comfortable operating in a matrixed organization 
• Highly analytical with the ability to draw conclusions using disparate sources of data 
• Strong team and partnering skills 
• Ability to bring creative and innovative ideas to delivering solutions 
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding ability to make decisions or recommendations on incomplete information 
• Ability to create clear, concise communication updates, which can include a focus on change management 
• Program Management experience 
• Experience translating long-term strategies into operating plans 

Qualifications Required: 
• Requires a BA or BS degree 
• Skilled in the use of: Excel, Power Point, Word 
• Prior experience in Strategic/Analytical role
