SharePoint Admin (Windows 365)

Seeking a SharePoint Administrator to support the department content management as well as the ongoing administration of numerous SharePoint Sites, management of storage and security/user access, and facilitate any future functionality. The SharePoint Administrator shall provide the technical services and expertise to support SharePoint development and maintenance activities.   Specific tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for department SharePoint design, deployment, configuration, and support with the Office 365 environment
  • Ensures sites and site collections are configured in compliance with local policies and configuration standards
  • Manages site and site collection features and functionality
  • Manages user permissions
  • Ensures compliance with governance policies, information architecture and other organizational policies
  • Supports web content managers in the use of, e.g. web part pages, web part configuration, built-in lists and document libraries, custom lists and libraries, InfoPath forms, workflows, etc.
  • Creates/modifies/updates image files, icons, mockups as required
  • Manages SharePoint projects and build solutions to improve efficiency
  • Designs, develops, and manages SharePoint sites to facilitate resource sharing
  • Skilled in deployment of custom SharePoint solutions and skilled in troubleshooting custom coding during maintenance windows
  • Reviews alert logs and manage storage requirements within SharePoint and One Drive
  • Analyzes, monitors, and troubleshoots hourly, daily, and weekly loads of production data
  • Update and maintain the existing 365/SharePoint presence.
  • Perform site monitoring, site maintenance, requirements gathering from end users prior to migrations, build-outs, and more.
  • Provide recommendations on how the client can leverage additional SharePoint functionality for future features and implement approved recommendations.
  • Coordinate efforts to design, develop, test, and implement automated solutions to support integrated analysis of business management information. The information to be integrated shall include strategy management, capability requirements management, performance management, and readiness reporting.
  • Create new SharePoint sites, as needed
  • Create workflows in SharePoint site, as directed
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field of study. Individuals with leadership, project management, analytical and excellent communication (oral and written) skills are required.
  • At least 3-5 years of SharePoint Admin, site/site collection administration and maintenance experience.
  • Experience with SharePoint within the Office 365 environment required
  • Experience with administration of Microsoft One Drive preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange preferred

Relevant Certifications (Preferred but not a must) 

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification, preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation, preferred.
  • MCTS: MS Office SharePoint Server 2007, 2010, 2013 Configuration, preferred.
