Ability to read and comprehend architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings, including determination of overlap of scopes of work between subcontractors within each section.
Familiar with various problems/issues relating to additions and alterations to existing buildings, interior renovations and construction of new facilities and familiar with coordination of bidding process relating to the various types of construction.
Technical knowledge consistent for interaction with Design Professionals, Contractors, Subcontractors and Material/Equipment sources, including ability to compose RFI’s and correspondence documentation.
Ability to perform site field measurements and check site conditions to verify existing contract documentation.
Ability to provide simple estimates with quantity take-offs, where required for material purchases and subcontractor cost verifications.
Understand project schedules with the ability to review project progress and review recovery schedule from contractors.
Ability to direct inquiries or problem solving to proper resources (i.e. Engineering, Testing, Architectural representatives and PS&G.
Ability to aid in the writing of scopes of work for change orders and material requirements for purchase orders.
Evaluate the validity, cost factors and impact of change orders in relationship to contracts and the schedules.
Review submittal packages for compliance with contract specifications.
Determine proper completion percentages for payment requisitions.
Able to work concurrently on multiple projects and organize related paperwork and filing to follow corporate guidelines to maintain a universal information source for use by company associates.
